Newman 5-for-5 Against Michigan State Tuesday, March 11th , 2025 It was a parade of hits for Julian Newman of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish at Frank Eck Stadium. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Newman finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Fighting Irish to a win, 14-1. "Newman was really good and we were really bad," groaned Spartans manager Ben Kuehnel. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him."
