Mike Escobar Sidelined for Season Thursday, April 14th , 2022 Mike Escobar is doubtful to make the playoffs this year, according to sources within the Virginia organization. Although the injury was initially thought to be not serious, tests have revealed the player will be out up to 5 months with a broken bone in the elbow. The 19-year-old right fielder suffered the injury running the bases in a recent game against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. To date this season, Escobar is hitting .319 with 11 home runs. |
