Injury Sidelines Dan Tillery for Season
Thursday, April 16th , 2020
The doctors have spoken and Dan Tillery of the Houston Cougars didn't like what he heard. The 18-year-old catcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Tillery sustained his season-ending injury during the Ole Miss Rebels game yesterday at Swazye Field at Oxford-University Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Houston medical staff reported Tillery had a torn calf muscle and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4-5 months.

Tillery is hitting at a .431 mark this season. His stats show 10 home runs, 35 RBIs and 28 runs scored. He has played 28 games for the Cougars.
