3 Home Runs for Alvarez Sunday, March 19th , 2023 Michigan State right fielder Alex Alvarez led the Spartans to a triumph, 17-1, over the Boston College Eagles, crushing three home runs. "He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Michigan State skipper Ben Kuehnel. Indeed, Alvarez put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 3 hits in 4 at-bats with 3 runs and 6 RBIs. "I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Alvarez said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em." Alex Alvarez hit a two-run home run off Carlos Orosco in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Nick Washington in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd and hit a two-run home run off Marc Hayes in the 5th.
