Player of the Week: English of the Hawkeyes Monday, April 5th , 2021 Sam English went on a hitting rampage last week against Conference 1 pitchers and collected the Player of the Week Award. The Iowa center fielder connected for 10 hits in 24 at-bats and 4 home runs. For the week he hit .417 with 15 RBIs and scored 8 runs. This year, English has hit 8 home runs and posted a .300 batting average. |
