5-Hit Blitz by Everly Sunday, March 12th , 2023 Ben Everly of the Tar Heels was unstoppable in his team's 9-6 victory over the Michigan Wolverines at Bryson Field at Boshamer Stadium. He battered them for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Boy, I was on the mark today," said the North Carolina catcher after the game. "I could see the ball real well. It's a great feeling to do this. And besides, 5-for-5 won't hurt your batting average like 0-for-5 will." Ben Everly doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th. |
