Big Day with Bat: Wright 5-for-5 Monday, March 29th , 2021 There aren't many who could be pro ballplayers and there are even fewer who could put up 5 hits in a day. Josh Wright is one of those rare few, as he went 5-for-5 against the North Carolina Tar Heels at Rocky and Berenice Miller Park. The monster effort from the 18-year-old first baseman helped the Northwestern Wildcats get the win, 9-5. "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it," said Tar Heels manager Eric Broad. "That's the game, though. Don't make mistakes and you'll win ballgames. Make mistakes and, well, you saw what happened today." Josh Wright singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th. Currently Wright is batting .459 with 2 home runs, 9 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
