Johnson Sizzles -- Smokes Cavaliers for 5 Hits Monday, March 25th , 2019 Chris Johnson really did a number on the Virginia Cavaliers -- and the Virginia did one right back on Johnson's Wolverines, taking the Davenport Field at Disharoon Park contest 9-8. Johnson delivered a huge 5-for-5 performance for Michigan, but did not deliver the victory. "I felt real good in the batter's box today," the 21-year-old left fielder said after putting up a game for the ages. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Chris Johnson singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This season Johnson is hitting .373 with 1 home run. |
