Ericson Strokes 5 Hits Saturday, March 23rd , 2019 5 hits in a game is a rare thing, but Arizona's Joe Ericson made it happen today against the Crimson Tide. Everything came together at the plate for the 20-year-old second baseman as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats -- and led the Wildcats to a 14-1 win at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. "I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Ericson said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em." Joe Ericson singled in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, struck out in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. This season Ericson has hit at a .341 clip with 9 RBIs, 1 home runs and 6 runs scored. |
