Nunley Bashes 5 Base Hits Saturday, March 19th , 2022 It was a parade of hits for Nick Nunley of the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park. Connecting almost every time he went to the plate, Nunley finished the day with a total of 5 hits in 5 at-bats. His strong individual effort propelled the Red Raiders to a win, 7-3. "Nunley was really good and we were really bad," groaned Tigers manager Matt DeMoura. "Next time he's that hot, we'll just walk him." Nick Nunley doubled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and doubled in the 8th. This year, Nunley is batting .410 with 16 hits, no home runs, 10 RBIs, 5 walks, .477 OBP and has scored 6 runs. |
