Thursday, March 10th , 2022
Iowa State Cyclones first baseman Trent Slagle had a magnificent game against the Texas Tech Red Raiders, rocketing three balls out of Cap Timm Field to help the Cyclones win, 5-3.
"I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them," he said after the game. "The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves. All three were mistakes."
For the game, Slagle went 3-for-4 with 5 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives," Iowa State manager Ryan Savage said later. "Seems like Trent found his home run stroke today."
Trent Slagle struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Sean Foye in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Sean Foye in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Matt Parma in the 8th.
