Michigan State Takes Final 4 Sunday, May 19th , 2024 The College World Series hopes remain strong for the Michigan State Spartans. The team tonight eliminated the Michigan Wolverines with a 3-1 win, to capture the Final 4 3-1. "We're rolling now," said Mike Fearing, who was named series MVP. "The pitchers are pitching, hitters are hitting, look out. I expect us to pick our game up to another level in the College World Series." The standout offensive performance from Fearing included a .353 batting average, .389 on-base percentage, 2 home runs, 5 RBI and 2 runs scored. The Michigan State Spartans don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Alabama Crimson Tide - Kansas State Wildcats series. Alabama leads the series 2 games to 1. The College World Series schedule will be announced after the Final 4 finishes. |
