Wolverines Win Sweet 16 Thursday, May 9th , 2024 With a 6-2 victory at Ray Fisher Stadium, the Michigan Wolverines have completed a sweep of the Nebraska Cornhuskers in the Sweet 16. "On to the Elite 8 and feeling good," said Adam Nargi. "I don't think our guys expected a sweep, but we'll certainly take it and rest up a bit." For the series, Nargi hit .667 and won series MVP honors. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Michigan Wolverines don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets - California Golden Bears series. California leads the series 1 game to 0.
