Cronan Out; Given Walking Papers by Hawkeyes Saturday, May 30th , 2026 The Iowa Hawkeyes have ended their relationship with skipper Mike Cronan, firing him this afternoon. The Hawkeyes indicated they will soon be interviewing candidates for the position. "This time we hope to get someone with a proven track record. We want an experienced manager and will take our time in getting one," general manager told reporters. "No hard feelings," Cronan said. "This is just part of the game. Iowa gave me an opportunity and I appreciate it. They treated me well and fairly. I just wish we could have done better." |
