Purdy Shuts Out Notre Dame, 12-0 Wednesday, May 8th , 2024 It was not a good day at the plate for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. They came up empty when it mattered against Michigan State Spartans left-hander Bobby Purdy, who scattered 3 hits across 9 innings and held the Fighting Irish scoreless. "We had 3 hits so I know he wasn't completely untouchable, but he was close," Notre Dame manager Mike Golden said later. Purdy chalked up 12 strikeouts and 1 walk in the 12-0 Spartans win. In 11 starts this season, Purdy has recorded a 4-5 record and a 2.56 ERA. |
