Roman Belts 5 Hits Friday, May 3rd , 2024 LSU defeated Vanderbilt at Charles Hawkins Field. The star of the game for the Tigers was catcher Octavio Roman. His hitting heroics included a 5-for-5 day, paving the way for LSU's 9-6 triumph over the Commodores. Octavio Roman hit a solo-shot off Angel Rubio in the 2nd, hit a GRAND SLAM off Angel Rubio in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Justin Wright in the 5th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
