3-HR Game for Oram Thursday, May 1st , 2025 Wallace Oram went yard three times in a Texas Longhorns victory over the Houston Cougars at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. "I was in a groove," he said. "Every pitch they tossed up there looked like a grapefruit." For the day, the Texas first baseman went 3-for-4 against Houston with 7 RBIs and 3 runs scored in a brilliant display of power hitting that led the Longhorns to the 12-0 win. "I tell you what. I'm shocked because I didn't think that last ball had enough to get out," he told BNN reporters in the clubhouse following the game. "I thought it was just going to be a long out." Wallace Oram struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Steve Aronov in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Jeff Scott in the 5th, walked in the 6th and hit a three-run home run off Aaron Hughes in the 8th. Oram is hitting .250 in 2025 with 47 RBIs and 19 home runs. |
