Cyclones Dominate, Sweep Sweet 16 Sunday, May 7th , 2023 On the strength of a 3-2 win at O'Brate Stadium, the Iowa State Cyclones have swept the Oklahoma State Cowboys to win the Sweet 16. "We expected to win, but I don't think we anticipated taking the series 2-0," said series MVP Chris Eklund. "That's a fantastic team over there, but we wouldn't be denied." For the series, Eklund had a 0.00 ERA over 6 innings pitched, with a 1-0 record. The Iowa State Cyclones will play against the Alabama Crimson Tide in the next round.
