UCF Halts Peters's Hitting Steak Thursday, April 24th , 2025 Cincinnati triumphed over UCF, but that was only one of the headlines from the game -- Bearcats first baseman Jason Peters failed to get a hit in the 2-0 win, bringing his 36-game hitting streak to an abrupt end. "I carried the club a few times over the past couple weeks, but today they carried me," he told reporters in his postgame remarks. "No matter what else happens, it is always good to win a ballgame."
