Matchette 5-for-5 for Oregon Wednesday, April 23rd , 2025 Jeff Matchette was on fire, sparking his club to a win, 10-3, over the Wildcats. The Oregon shortstop was a tough out and went 5-for-5 against Northwestern in a fine hitting display. "I got my pitches and I connected. They all found the right holes on the diamond. Some days you hit shots and they're right at somebody and some days they fall in." Jeff Matchette hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Cameron Chambers in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. So far this season, Matchette has put up a .221 batting average with 27 hits, 4 home runs and 13 RBIs. |
