North Carolina's Champagne to Miss Season Wednesday, May 3rd , 2023 The season is apparently over for Jon Champagne. The North Carolina Tar Heels medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 7 months with shoulder inflammation. Champagne was hurt in the game against Indiana while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season. This year, his stats show Champagne has no saves in 11 relief appearances with a 0-1 record and 10.95 ERA. |
