You're Out! Tigers Fire Manager Saiz Saturday, June 1st , 2019 Today the Tigers made an announcement: The era of Javier Saiz is over in Auburn. After a disappointing season, the club officials sat down with Saiz to discuss their decision to make a change. "It wasn't a surprise to me," Saiz said speaking with reporters. "As a team we did not perform up to people's expectations, nor to my expectations. When that happens, someone has to take the blame. This year, that person was me." In an official statement, Tigers general manager Joe Unknown expressed gratitude for Saiz's efforts, but confirmed the need to look for a different voice in the clubhouse. "We thank Javier for providing class, professionalism, experience and leadership during his tenure with the club, but believe we need to make this important change to our team's management," he said. |
