Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Peters

The hot bat of Bearcats first baseman Jason Peters continues to churn out hit after hit, game after game. His consecutive-game hitting streak now numbers 34 games after he went 2-for-5 in today's 4-3 loss to the Bears at Baylor Ballpark.
"I'm trying not to think about it much," he said later. "I don't want to mess with whatever zone I'm in." Jason Peters singled in the 2nd, grounded out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 9th.
So far this season, Peters is batting .368 with 6 home runs, 20 RBIs and 19 runs scored. He has 50 hits in 136 at-bats, 16 walks and a .438 OBP. Peters has played in 36 games.
