Going, Going, Gone! Voci Hits 3 Homers Thursday, April 17th , 2025 Vanderbilt catcher Jim Voci blasted three homers at Charlie and Marie Lupton Baseball Stadium and Williams-Reilly Field in the 8-0 Commodores victory over the TCU Horned Frogs. For the game, Jim Voci scored 3 times and knocked in 4 runs. When he hit his last home run, his teammates, hearing the crack of the bat, leaped off the bench and rushed on the field to greet the jubilant Voci when he reached home plate. "It was just one game, but it sure was a lot of fun -- 3-for-5, three roundtrippers and a win," a gleeful Voci told BNN reporters in a postgame interview. "What a day." Jim Voci struck out in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Sean Phillips in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Bayram Erez in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Chris Cocker in the 9th. This year, Voci is hitting .239 with 9 home runs and 19 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .346 clip and scored 18 runs. |
