5-Hit Barrage by Sydnor Saturday, April 29th , 2023 It was a sensational day at the plate for Nick Sydnor as he led the charge to a nifty 10-1 win over the Hoosiers. The Wake Forest second baseman was pure misery for the Indiana pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Sydnor put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Andy Szafranski, manager for the Hoosiers, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Nick Sydnor hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Luke in the 6th and singled in the 8th. Sydnor is currently batting .358 with 1 home run, 8 runs scored and 5 RBIs. His OBP is .413. |
