Brian Young Lost for Season Thursday, April 27th , 2023 A blow for Brian Young today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 12-13 months with a torn ulnar collateral ligament. Young suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Nebraska Cornhuskers are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Young's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. To date, Young has collected no saves in 14 relief appearances. He has rung up 21 strikeouts and 17 walks in 23 innings while registering a 3.91 ERA and a 3-0 won-lost record. |
