Routh Sizzles with 25-Game Batting Streak Thursday, April 27th , 2023 Win or lose, Corey Routh just keeps on getting base hits -- game after game after game. He picked up 1 more today and has now stretched his hitting streak to 25 games. The Baylor Bears first baseman went 1-for-5, but it wasn't enough to win the game. His club was defeated, 6-5, by the UCF Knights at Baylor Ballpark. "It's amazing to watch him hit right now, but I don't think anybody's really mentioning it," one of his teammates said. "We just don't want to jinx him." Corey Routh grounded out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, doubled in the 6th, grounded out in the 7th and grounded out in the 10th. For the year, Routh is hitting .323 with 7 home runs. His stats include 20 RBI and 28 runs scored. |
