Zackery Batters Arizona for 5 Hits Monday, April 24th , 2023 Houston third baseman David Zackery had a day to remember, 5-for-6 against the Arizona Wildcats at Hi Corbett Field as the Cougars picked up a win, 9-5. "He was patient up there," Houston skipper Eddie Ard told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. Zackery has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes." David Zackery singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th, grounded out in the 11th, singled in the 13th and hit a two-run double in the 14th.
