Dunaway Cracks 6 Hits Monday, April 24th , 2023 Greg Dunaway was at the head of a Nebraska hit parade at Hawks Field. The center fielder went to the plate 6 times and came away with 6 hits, sparking the Cornhuskers to a nice 12-3 victory over the Northwestern Wildcats. "I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Dunaway told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today." Wildcats skipper Tommy Nevins said later that the club gave up "too much plate." "Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that." Greg Dunaway singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Nick Beaton in the 6th, singled in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jose Reyes in the 8th. A look at his current stats shows Dunaway with a .337 average, 14 home runs, 30 RBIs and 41 runs scored. He has played in 37 games. |
