20-Game Hitting Streak for Zepeda Friday, April 11th , 2025 Jamie Zepeda ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Duane Banks Field, when he collected 1 hit in 4 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Iowa Hawkeyes dropped the game, 7-2, to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Zepeda said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Jamie Zepeda walked in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and singled in the 9th. To date this season, Zepeda is hitting .352 with 4 home runs. |
