Friday, April 11th , 2025
Jason Peters, first baseman for the Cincinnati Bearcats, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 25 games with 1 hit in his club's 19-4 victory over the BYU Cougars at UC Baseball Stadium.
"I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Jason Peters flied out in the 2nd, struck out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
This year, Peters is batting .373 with 38 hits, 4 home runs, 14 RBIs, 13 walks, .448 OBP and has scored 16 runs.
