Top AHS Reliever Honored Saturday, June 13th , 2020 At the young age of only 15, John Garner has been named the ABA High School Reliever of the Year Award winner for 2020. The future appears bright for the Saint Francis High School Lancers relief ace, who captured the award with 6 saves in 19 relief appearances, 37 strikeouts in 24.1 innings and a record of 1-0 to go with his 1.48 ERA. He received 38 first place votes out of a possible 56. Jessie Chiappini of the Villa Park High School Spartans finished second in voting with 18 first place votes, while Brian Tollefsen of the Huntington Beach High School Oilers finished third.
