Neal Grabs AHS Reliever of the Year Award
Tuesday, June 14th , 2022
Joe Neal was a calming influence out of the Miami Christian High School Victors bullpen this season.

His teammates and manager said he had a poised demeanor about him that was typical of someone much older and more experienced. His poise has paid off, as the 14-year-old turned in a sparkling season and has been named the winner of the ABA High School Reliever of the Year Award for 2022.

The Lauderhill, Florida native won the award with 4 saves in 15 relief appearances, 24 strikeouts in 18 innings and a record of 1-0 to go with his 0.00 ERA.

He received 59 first place votes out of a possible 64. Alex Arredondo of the De La Salle High School Spartans finished second in voting, while Noel Churchill of the Keller High School Indians finished third with 1 first place vote.
