Trinity Christian Academy Halts Closson's Hitting Steak Monday, April 22nd , 2024 The Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors did something to Grant Closson no team had done for the last 23 games -- they stopped him, ending his consecutive-game hitting streak. Unfortunately, they couldn't do the same to the Cowboys, who came away with the 6-2 victory at Coppell ISD Baseball Complex. "Hey, I knew it wasn't going to last forever," the 15-year-old first baseman said of the demise of his streak. "It was a good ride while it lasted." This year, Closson is hitting .392 with 12 home runs. |
