Ray High School Manager Sams Gets the Boot Thursday, May 31st , 2018 The future of the Ray High School Texans will not include Matt Sams. Much-criticized for his in-game managing by local scribes of late, Sams has been fired as manager of the Texans. The decision is believed to have been made primarily by the team's owner, who was always quick to publicly criticize Sams's decisions on the field and in the clubhouse. When reached at his home in Ray High School, owner The owner of the Ray High School Texans said the decision was made "in the best interest of the team," but he refused to elaborate on the specific reasons which led to the firing. Sams told BNN he plans to explore his options for another job in baseball. "I'll miss Ray High School and I'll miss the Texans, but I won't miss having everything I do second-guessed," he said. |
