Titans Advance to High School World Series Saturday, May 23rd , 2020 The North Oconee High School Titans are off to the High School World Series after an exciting Final Four triumph. North Oconee High School downed the Southlake Carroll High School Dragons, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 4-3 win tonight at North Oconee High School Stadium wrapping up the series 3-2. "It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Nate Groves, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series. Groves put up a .500 with a .520 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 4 home runs, drove in 12 runs and scored 10 runs himself. The North Oconee High School Titans will play against the Huntington Beach High School Oilers in the next round. Huntington Beach High School won their series against the Allatoona High School Buccaneers 3 games to 2. The High School World Series schedule will be announced after the Final Four finishes. |
