Lowndes High School Snaps Criscuolo Streak at 21 Saturday, April 6th , 2024 It was the best of both worlds for the Lowndes High School Vikings at Mount Paran Christian High School Stadium, as they defeated the Mount Paran Christian High School Eagles, 10-4, and also snapped Jake Criscuolo's 21-game hitting streak. The 17-year-old Mount Paran Christian High School shortstop failed to get a hit in 2 at-bats. "Nothing personal against Criscuolo, we just wanted to win the game," said Vikings skipper Sean Avery. "We did a great job keeping him off-balance and guessing." When asked by reporters about his streak coming to an end, Criscuolo frowned and said, "I won't lie and say that I'm not disappointed about it, but I'd feel much better if we had won." A look at his season totals shows Criscuolo with 5 home runs, .356 BA, .449 OBP, 15 RBIs and 18 runs scored. |
