Wolves Win Opening Round Thursday, May 10th , 2018 The Wesleyan High School Wolves are on to the Sweet 16 after a convincing series win over the Taravella High School Trojans. Wesleyan High School wrapped up the series sweep with a 4-3 win in the last game, to take the series 2-0. "We expected to win and we executed the way we needed to," said Jim Van Donsel, who was named series MVP. For the series, Van Donsel hit .500 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Wesleyan High School Wolves don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Lowndes High School Vikings - North Oconee High School Titans series. North Oconee High School leads the series 1 game to 0. The Sweet 16 schedule will be announced after the Opening Round finishes. |
