Cavaliers Prevail, as Sweet 16 Goes to the Wire Thursday, May 14th , 2020 The Lake Travis High School Cavaliers and Woodstock High School Wolverines hooked up in a classic Sweet 16 that went right down to the wire. In the end, it's Lake Travis High School heading off to the Elite Eight, after a 12-10 win at Cavalier Field tonight earned the 2-1 series win. Outside Cavalier Field, whether they were supporters of Lake Travis High School or Woodstock High School, many fans talked about how it was a series they would never forget. Juan Guerra played the hero for the Cavaliers in the series, as his MVP performance included a .500 batting average, with a .600 on-base percentage. He also had 2 home runs, 6 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Lake Travis High School Cavaliers will play against the Huntington Beach High School Oilers in the next round. Huntington Beach High School won their series against the Berkeley Prep High School Buccaneers 2 games to 0. The Elite Eight schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes. |
