Sweet 16 Goes the Distance, Pace High School Prevails Thursday, May 14th , 2020 The Pace High School Patriots were paced by a strong offensive output from Damien Przybylski as they downed the Palo Alto High School Vikings 2-1 to win the Sweet 16. Pace High School won the final game by a score of 6-2 at Delgado Stadium to send themselves off to the Elite Eight. "I wasn't so much focused on putting up big offensive numbers as I was about ensuring we won the games. So it's mission accomplished there," said left fielder Przybylski, who was named MVP. For the series, the MVP hit .385 with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 6 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Pace High School Patriots will play against the Southlake Carroll High School Dragons in the next round. Southlake Carroll High School won their series against the Buchanan High School Bears 2 games to 0. The Elite Eight schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes. |
