Titans Move on to Elite Eight Wednesday, May 13th , 2020 The North Oconee High School Titans have swept the Rockwall-Heath High School Hawks and are on to the Elite Eight. North Oconee High School won 17-4 today at North Oconee High School Stadium to clinch the Sweet 16. "We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said North Oconee High School left fielder Chris Hazlett, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning." Hazlett won the award with a .714 batting average and a .800 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 10 RBI and scored 5 runs. The North Oconee High School Titans will play against the Orange Lutheran High School Lancers in the next round. Orange Lutheran High School won their series against the Coppell High School Cowboys 2 games to 0. The Elite Eight schedule will be announced after the Sweet 16 finishes. |
