His club, the Keller High School Indians, beat the Marcus High School Marauders, 4-3. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Nixon quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Joe Nixon singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th. This season, Nixon has hit 11 home runs and posted a .397 batting average. |
