Berkeley Prep High School Takes Opening Round Monday, May 11th , 2020 It was a rousing finish to the Opening Round at Wesleyan High School Stadium today. The Berkeley Prep High School Buccaneers sent the Wesleyan High School Wolves home for the season with a 6-2 win in the decisive game of the series. The Buccaneers took the series 2-1. Up next on their schedule is the Sweet 16. Hauling in the MVP trophy was Berkeley Prep High School left fielder Danny Walker. His numbers included a .462 batting average, 1 RBIs and 4 runs. "With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Sweet 16," he said. The Berkeley Prep High School Buccaneers will play against the Huntington Beach High School Oilers in the next round. Huntington Beach High School won their series against the Jesuit High School Tigers 2 games to 0. The Sweet 16 schedule will be announced after the Opening Round finishes. |
