Falcons Move on to Sweet 16 Monday, May 11th , 2020 The Tompkins High School Falcons and Lake Brantley High School Patriots put on a classic Opening Round that was in question until the final game. In the end, Tompkins High School won the deciding contest by a score of 4-1, to take the series 2-1. "It doesn't get much tighter than that. To win a series in the last game is a thrill," said Craig Booker, who earned series MVP honors for Tompkins High School. "Our guys are breathing a little easier now." For the series, Booker hit .455 with a .538 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs. The Tompkins High School Falcons will play against the Allatoona High School Buccaneers in the next round. Allatoona High School won their series against the Stoneman Douglas High School Eagles 2 games to 0. The Sweet 16 schedule will be announced after the Opening Round finishes. |
