Wolff 5-for-5 Against Grenada High School
Monday, May 16th , 2022
The Huntington Beach High School Oilers stopped the Grenada High School Matadors by a score of 9-2 at Dreamfield, with the lion's share of the credit going to first baseman Tim Wolff. The 17-year-old had a career day, collecting 5 hits.
"Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate," Wolff said later. "He wants to hit the ball hard."
Wolff did just that in his 5 at-bats, much to the chagrin of the Matadors.
"Not much that I can say," offered Grenada High School manager Charlie Forrester. "He just hammered the heck out of us."
Tim Wolff hit a three-run home run off Jeff O'Donovan in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Jeff O'Donovan in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Wolff is currently hitting at a .327 pace with 18 home runs and 49 RBIs. He has played in 40 games and scored 37 times.
