Cavaliers Advance to Sweet 16 Sunday, May 10th , 2020 The Lake Travis High School Cavaliers outclassed the Lowndes High School Vikings in all facets of the game throughout the AHS Opening Round. The end result was a Lake Travis High School series sweep to advance to the Sweet 16, capped off by a 7-2 win in the final game. "We're a bit surprised it's over in a sweep, to be honest with you," said shortstop Billy Manuele, who hit .500 in the series. Manuele's standout effort garnered him MVP honors. He also put up a .500 on-base percentage and had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 1 runs. The Lake Travis High School Cavaliers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Woodstock High School Wolverines - Doral Academy Firebirds series. Woodstock High School leads the series 1 game to 0. The Sweet 16 schedule will be announced after the Opening Round finishes. |
