Goldbaek Parks 3 HR in the Seats Friday, May 13th , 2022 Southlake Carroll High School second baseman Mikkel Goldbaek led the Dragons to a triumph, 18-1, over the Taravella High School Trojans, crushing three home runs. "He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Southlake Carroll High School skipper Phil Pitaro. Indeed, Goldbaek put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 5 hits in 5 at-bats with 5 runs and 6 RBIs. "I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Goldbaek said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em." Mikkel Goldbaek hit a two-run home run off Ricky Moreno in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Bobby Gearing in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Matt McAllister in the 6th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. In 38 games this year, Goldbaek has posted a .255 average and put up these numbers: 13 home runs, 30 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
