Panthers Dominate, Sweep Round 1 Thursday, May 12th , 2022 It's a sweet sweep for the Parkview High School Panthers and they have won the Round 1. The Liberty High School Patriots were not able to keep pace with the Panthers and dropped the series in short order, losing, 4-2, in the deciding game. "This wasn't really the effort we hoped for," said Liberty High School manager Kevin Trageser. It's now on to the Round 2 for Parkview High School after their 4-0 series win. Leading the way for the winners was left fielder Taylor Dickerson, who was named MVP. For the series, Dickerson hit .421 with a .450 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 5 runs. The Parkview High School Panthers don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Grenada High School Matadors - Huntington Beach High School Oilers series. Grenada High School leads the series 2 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes. |
