Playoff Bound: Pope High School Secures Wild Card Friday, May 7th , 2021 It wasn't the High School Baseball League Georgia High School Association crown that the Pope High School Greyhounds set out to win, but that didn't stop the players and coaches from celebrating their postseason berth excitedly. "All we've got to do is get hot and the next thing you know we'll be in the Round 3," said closer Kurt Longoria. "Everyone in the league knows we're capable of going on a run and can be dangerous." The club's 26-15 record has guaranteed them a shot in the postseason, where they will be looking for the 3rd ABA High School championship in franchise history. |
