Holcomb Slaps 5 Hits Friday, April 4th , 2025 Sam Holcomb got the glory and the headlines, but the Pace High School Patriots left with the win. The Parkview High School right fielder easily handled the Patriots pitching, going 5-for-5, but his Parkview High School Panthers came out on the short end of the 8-7 score. Holcomb told BNN reporters in the postgame interview he would happily trade "three or four" of his hits for a win. "Heck, maybe even all of them," he said with a laugh. "Right now, it just seems like one loss in a long season but who knows what it could mean at the end." Sam Holcomb singled in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 8th. This season, Holcomb is batting .464 with 26 hits, 4 home runs, 10 RBIs, 6 walks, .516 OBP and has scored 9 runs. He has played in 13 games. |
